QiqoChat Creative Commons Policy

Updated March 18, 2022

The QiqoChat platform is all about sharing knowledge, so we’ve set our default policy to make that easier.  Here are the details.

Circle creators/admins have control and can choose the specific copyright license for all materials created in their circles and events by posting a notice on the homepage for their circle.  This overrides the default Creative Commons license that is described below.

For all public circles where the circle owner/admin does not specify a license, we chose a Creative Commons Attribution License as the default so that the great ideas you share on QiqoChat can be built upon by others. They must give you credit for your idea.  All written content items that you create on QiqoChat (i.e. comments, written conversations, blog posts, etc) are available for anyone in the world to remix and reuse.  This does not apply to the ideas you share in private QiqoChat circles or ideas that were created outside of Qiqo and then shared into Qiqo.  According to the terms of this license, people who reuse your work must give you credit for your idea, and provide a link to where they found it.

This policy does not apply to any materials that are created somewhere other than QiqoChat and then are uploaded to QiqoChat, such as when someone shares a PDF in a circle; the original author retains the copyright.
